    Summary

Three-and-one-third bodies have been found in an abandoned vehicle on the riverbank.

It would be a challenging case even without the bad weather, weapons smuggling, white nationalists, industrial accidents, and the concept of pedigree dog breeds—but over it all hangs one troubling question: What is it that fascinates you about Kim Kitsuragi? Is it working class camaraderie? A sinister hex of mysterious origin? Did you imprint on him in Martinaise, like an amnesiac duckling? If you don’t figure out what’s going on soon, people are going to start to notice. Especially him.

And sooner or later? Everything is related to the case.

And there she was: a lovely contradiction of everything dark and base he believed about humanity looking him in the eye and challenging him to change. Such a chance did not offer itself too often anymore. His expression softened for the first time since she had arrived.
"I think I might like you."

Hook should, perhaps, have died in England and awoken in Hell. Instead, he died in Neverland and awoke in the trenches of 1916 France.

While trying to aid the boys of England, Wendy Darling found herself confronted with a man who had lost his right hand, his past, and his ability to dream.

    Summary

A full rewrite of Heldris of Cornwall's 14th century poem, Le Roman de Silence, in which Silence is fully acknowledged as a trans man and pursues a relationship with King Evan of England.

For those unfamiliar with the obscure little story, after the time of King Arthur, to the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall is born a baby girl in an England in which women cannot inherit anything. To secure their family line, they disguise and raise their child as a boy, Silentius or Silence. He faces continual conflict within himself as the subject of debate between Nature and Nurture personified about the validity of his identity as a man, which is confronted as he grows up to become a knight in King Evan's court. Bearing his perilous secret, Silence attempts to negotiate court life and his growing feelings for his lord, and struggles with a great danger in Queen Eufeme, who becomes frantic to win him, or failing that, set on destroying him.

“My arm, my armor, my ardor and my skill are what define me in the eyes of others; by the same measure are my peers perceived. For that, it seems to me that what I hide has no significance to being a man at all; and so I am a man.”
