Summary
Maybe if things were just a slightly different, Trinity would have ended the night out singing karaoke with Mel on a good note.
Instead she has a little too much to drink. She knows very well what places her mind tends to wander when she’s little more than drunk.
Too late to dwell on that, her mind is already in the gutter.
Hopefully, she won’t follow it there.
She knows that’s not going to happen when the stolen tool she got at PTMC sits heavy in her pocket.

Summary
Perhaps it was the wine that dulled their awareness, or the air of joy that made them feel invincible. Regardless, neither noticed the man emerging from the shadows behind them. They were so close to the parking lot, less than a block away - he could see the license plate of their well-loved SUV. When Robby thought back to the night, years down the line, it was that thought that kept him awake at night. They were so close.

Summary
The Fourth of July shift leaves everyone exhausted, but for Trinity Santos, the weight of old wounds is heavier than anything the emergency department threw at her that night.
When Abbot finds her alone on the hospital roof, he doesn't offer easy answers or empty reassurances. He simply refuses to let her carry the burden by herself. With a quiet conversation, an overdue phone call to Whittaker, and the kind of steadfast care that feels suspiciously like family, Trinity begins to realize that surviving doesn't have to be a solitary act.

Summary
Trinity glances nervously out of the car window at the latest house she’s being sent into. It looks nice enough with neat paint, and some flowers in the garden, but she knows all too well how looks can be deceiving.
Maybe this time will be different.
