Dazai Osamu is the farthest possible thing from the ideal woman Kunikida Doppo has written so much about in his notebook.
And yet... Kunikida is hopelessly in love with him anyway. Kunikida doesn't believe he has a chance with his coworker, I mean, have you seen the way he flirts with women? Straight as the rulers Kunikida used to use in his maths class.
Dazai, meanwhile, is also in love with his uptight but still charming coworker. But how can Dazai ever come close to the woman Kunikida has in mind?

Summary
The agency is hosting a party for their rehabilitation in Yokohama. They drink, laugh and talk together finally free of any worry.
Or at least that’s how it goes until Yosano pours too much wine in Kunikida’s glass and turns him drunk. At least, that’s how it goes until Kunikida and Dazai find themselves looking at each other under the warm lights of the ada’s kitchen, both drunk where they share a couple of kisses. At least, that’s how it goes, until Ranpo discovers it and tells the whole agency.
And even when Kunikida and Dazai decide that they could ignore what happened, soon enough they discover that probably, alcohol just brought up feelings that they kept hidden in themselves for years. Despite all the denial, all the resistance and all the fear, Kunikida will admit that Dazai means something more than just a colleague to him just like Dazai has to admit that he’s more human than what he thinks.
Because some things cannot be predicted or planned.
Or better: a troubled story where two partners learn that love it’s neither a bottle of sake or a manual of ideals.

But this time it wasn't because of that, alright. To be honest, Dazai was quite certain that everything was solved—that Atsushi would catch him in time."

There’s only one thought on Atsushi’s mind when he wakes up in his ten-year-old body: find Dazai and get him to nullify the ability so Atsushi can get back to life as he knows it.

Our dearly beloved Atsushi from canon and our deeply hurt Atsushi from BEAST switch places. It's less like accidentally walking into a circus and more like being violently drop-kicked into a burning swamp. With mutant alligators. And trauma.
“Atsushi-kun, are you alright?”
That is a funny question for all of two seconds before he registers the name. Atsushi-kun.
He almost chokes on his own spit. The Agency people stare at him in concern, like they're confused to see him unwell, when he’s definitely attacked them before. His senses are in overdrive. The infirmary has three possible exits and he has a clear view of all of them—he's cornered in which isn't the best for movement but good for sight—and then he moves on to an attack plan because no man calls him Atsushi-kun except for Dazai, and the man staring back at him is definitely not Dazai.
