"I’m only two minutes late!” Izuku protested. Had he missed the start of an important test? None of the national, standardized tests were supposed to happen this month and even being two minutes late to one of those wouldn’t elicit this sort of reaction. They were discussing their career interest forms today, but that was it. Nothing time-critical was supposed to be happening.
“Midoriya, you were reported missing a week ago. No one has seen you for eight days. The police have been combing the city for you.”
"I’m sorry. What?”
Midoriya Izuku went missing for a week and turned up in a back alleyway with skills he's never even heard of and no memory of how he came by them. He resigns himself to never learning the truth of what happened to him, but he shouldn't waste this chance should he? He could become a hero with reflexes like these.

And just like that, he was back in the game. "Ryuu," Noya said proudly. "You're a genius."
"I know, kiddo." Ryuu gently set Kiyoko's things down on the concrete bench that jutted out the rest off the skatepark, his movements contrasting wildly with the smirk on his face. "You ready to meet me in the snake run?"
"Born ready."
They were gonna interview Daichi next Saturday night. Six days. In six days, he was gonna potentially have Azumane Asahi's number.
A grin split his face. Ballin'.Noya is a late night show host who has a crush on the dude who plays basketball at the park. Asahi is the dude who plays basketball at the park.

This was an absolute joy of a read! It’s hard to find good substantial AsaNoya fics and this one did NOT disappoint!! I love that Asahi’s anxiety is handled well and that there’s just so much softness across all of the different relationships.

A truly wonderful story centered around Shinsou Hitoshi and his dealing with the foster care system and learning to trust the teachers around him. Midnight’s characterization was lovely, and there were little tidbits of Present Mic and Eraserhead too.
