“Will you grab a coffee with me?” he blurts, the words out of his mouth before he has time to reconsider them or realise how weird he sounds. “Shit, sorry. I meant, will you grab a coffee with me, please?”
Namjoon is frozen for another moment before he retracts his hand from Yoongi’s arm and takes a step back, turning to face an old man standing behind him. Yoongi wants to slap himself for not seeing him sooner. Even better, he wants the floor to swallow him whole. “This is the b-book you w-were after, sir.”

Summary

jeongguk slows his chopsticks on his way to his mouth, flickering his eyes up to taehyung's face. he studies it for a moment, looking for a trace of humor—or compassion. something jeongguk can go off of. but there's nothing. taehyung is too good at hiding his emotions. "it doesn't warrant anything," jeongguk says softly and chews on his next bite of food. "yoongi-hyung has never made me feel like a burden. everyone else... well, they don't understand. this felt like the only place i could go without answering too many questions."
