She jostled down a few notes, impressed with what she was hearing, less impressed with the comedic jokes this man was trying to carve into his set, but she let it slide.

Will felt his face pale. "What about your parents?"
"They don't want anything to do with him, not after—"
"Yeah, I heard. What about…"
"Will, there's no one else. I've tried."
"Nancy, I can't… I can't just—"
"Please. I wouldn't be asking if there was another option."
Will bit the inside of his cheek. "Okay."
Or: Mike is on house arrest for 6 months and has no choice but to stay with Will, even though they haven't spoken in two years.
