"... yes," Shen Qiao whispered. His voice was barely audible, almost drowned out by the crackling of the fire, but Yan Wushi caught it.

Xie Lian isn’t one for leaps of faith these days. After two life-changing injuries clinched her abrupt and tragic exit from her former life as a promising gymnast, she considers her own body more of a liability than much else. Not like her girlfriend, Hua Cheng, a bold and tough-as-nails roller derby skater who believes in Xie Lian more than enough for the both of them.
Which is why they're here: at the local rink's couples' night, lacing up Xie Lian's first pair of skates-- to indulge Hua Cheng's desire to share her hobby, and to get Xie Lian back in the habit of trusting herself.

Summary
