John watched Javier's nimble fingers work on Boaz and thought about what else they have done. Javier has killed men with those hands, he's played guitar with them, he's been both violent and gentle with them. John thought about where Javier's hands had been. They've been around his throat, putting ever-so-slight pressure on his windpipe while John had to beg Javier for mercy. Those same hands have also held John's as they sat in silence as John recovered from his sojourn with death in the mountains of Ambarino. John knew where he wanted those hands tonight.
