Summary
Eddie leaned down towards Buck, and Buck instinctually put his hand out to rest on Eddie’s side. Eddie’s arms landed on either side of Buck on the couch. And then Eddie was in his space, his lips pressing briefly to Buck’s cheek.
“Thanks, Buck,” Eddie said, still so, so close to Buck. “I’ll see you at home.”
He said goodbye to the rest of the crew, and then he was gone, his boots thunking down the stairs.
or,
Eddie kisses Buck goodbye. They aren't together yet.

Summary
Eddie’s never seen Buck this way, chained up by a body that won’t do as he says. He’s still caressing his fingers through Buck’s hair and across his scalp; feels dampness along the surface of his forehead, takes in the flush of his cheeks and nose, the soft surrender of his slightly open mouth. There’s no real danger present, and Buck will feel fine in a few hours, but right now--right now, he is beautiful and asthenic, and Eddie can’t help but feel privileged.
(You need to settle down a little. or: Eddie poisons Buck, and other acts of radical devotion.)

Summary
“I’m showing people Buck!” Eddie explains excitedly, turning his phone screen towards Chimney to show him a picture of Buck smiling at the camera. But after a moment, the joyful expression fades from Eddie’s face, replaced by something more somber.
“I miss him,” he says, his eyes downcast.
“Shit, is he dead?” the stranger slurs. “I’m sorry, man.”
“He is not dead,” Chimney hurries to clarify. “They’re just codependent. Don’t worry about it.”
Or: Buck and Eddie are engaged and have separate bachelor parties. Unfortunately, all either of them can think about is the other's absence.

Summary
Buck keeps him everywhere. He’s smuggling him into every inch left vacant, because like this, he doesn’t lose him, won’t lose him. Like this, he gets to keep Eddie forever, even if it’s just the pieces and the memories attached. The reminder of him will haunt him and this apartment like a ghost. Because Buck can’t trap him in his apartment and force him to stay, he’d never ask that, couldn’t ask that, but he’s going to damn well do his best to salvage it in some form. He’s kidnapping Eddie’s shadow, no matter how much it hurts, and there’s no choice about it.
Eddie announces he’s leaving. Buck, naturally, begins a slow descent to madness.
[ALT. summary: Buck has resolved to be the greatest friend ever. He’s handling this move so well. And not at all being abnormal about Eddie’s house. Or Eddie’s belongings. Or, well. Eddie.]
