All in all, Lois thinks, it is easy to forget just how different human and kryptonian biology truly is.
It strikes her at times, when Clark is vacuuming her flat and mindlessly picking the couch up with one hand to reach underneath like it is nothing, or when she sometimes wakes up to Clark landing against her old, creaky fire escape, letting himself in through the window.
Kryptonians are a lot of things humans aren’t, but one thing is for certain: Lois still has much to discover when it comes to her very alien boyfriend. Starting with the way he acts around her at times—especially when she is on her period.
