Summary
After years of bitter war between Zaun and Piltover, the confrontation that will decide the fate of both cities is set to take place tomorrow. The Defender of Tomorrow will face the Herald of Zaun and secure victory for Piltover or die trying. But as the hour draws closer, Jayce cannot bring himself to fight his former partner and the man he is still in love with.
or : after the incident with the Hexcore, Jayce and Viktor part in anger and bitterness, their relationship irreparably broken. They become the champions of their respective cities, on each side of the battlefield, as enemies.

Summary
Jayce appeared in his peripheral, coming to a halt next to him, posture straight in that tired way it always was nowadays. Viktor looked down at his own folded legs, already picturing the expression his friend was wearing.
Concern, poorly disguised disappointment and a spark of something so agonizingly tender in his eyes that Viktor could never look at too closely. A tilted head, hair falling from its careful placement into a slightly curled wave over his forehead. Brow furrowed, eyes sad, lips drawn into a slight pout. The minute scar on his eyebrow pulled taught with worry.
“I haven’t seen you smoke in years.” Jayce said finally. He sat down beside him and Viktor allowed himself a quick glance at his partner’s face. He wasn’t sure if he was more relieved or disappointed to find it turned outwards, gazing at the city lights. With a one-shouldered shrug, he took another drag. Jayce waited patiently for him to breathe out before he answered.
“I haven’t seen a reason to smoke in years.”

Summary
Viktor watched intently as Jayce passed by, his golden eyes narrowing in scrutiny. The man looked utterly wrecked. His clothes were rumpled, his face drawn, and his hands clenched tightly at his sides as though he were bracing against an unseen storm. And yet, there was something about him — something beyond the surface of desperation and failure — that held Viktor’s attention. He couldn’t explain it, but he was nearly fascinated by this man who had been foolish enough — and bold enough — to risk everything on illegal experiments. A dangerous blend of stupidity and genius.

I’m just rewriting season 1, because Jayce and Viktor deserve a happy ending. The beginning is quite slow, sorry. Thery are both a bit dumb because they kiss but they act like they don’t remember. Don’t worry it ends well.

And Viktor didn't know what it was. Whether it was the proximity of their bodies, the lack of food or awareness in the midst of exhaustion, the temperature of his own face, the tenderness in Jayce's gaze when he said that, the board full of beautiful calculations made by Jayce's beautiful hands and mind, or the fact that the other – even tired and messy, with deep dark circles and disheveled hair – was so pretty and deliciously inviting from that angle.
He only knew that he couldn't stop his hands from touching either side of his face and pulling him in for a kiss.
