Summary
Clone Marshal Commander Cody, Commander of the 7th Sky Corps and the renowned 212th Attack Battalion was not a fool. He wasn’t stupid enough not to notice when he was injured, nor was he unaware of the extent of his injuries. He was a big believer in getting help–especially of the medical variety–when needed.
But that did not stop Cody from having a to-do list that would span from Kamino to Mandalore to get through with relative speed. It did not stop his need to ensure that the medics had enough help and could save the brothers who were worse off.
No, he would seek their medics out soon–the pain in his side would force him onto an exam table whether he liked it or not–but right now there were more pressing things for him to worry about.

Kix swallows. Anger bubbles in his throat along with the ever-present paranoia, and he debates on whether or not he should do as she says. Ithano hasn’t turned his head, but he knows he’s watching him out of the corner of his eye. Waiting. Seeing if and when he needs to intervene.
He decides to comply, if only to see the face of who’s asking, and when he does, his heart palpitates.

Kix adjusts to his new life, joining the crew of the Meson Martinet, as he struggles with his new place in the galaxy.

Cody had been staring at the ceiling for nearly an hour. He hated being concussed. How exactly was he meant to run a war if he was all but strapped to a medical cot and banned from using a datapad?
If nothing else, Cody was nearly bored out of his mind. He’d never been good at resting. Hells, he even got twitchy after too long at parade rest.
But per his chief medical officer’s orders, he was to “stay in this cot for the next twenty-four hours, or–so help me, maker–you won’t be able to get out of it again”.
