They’d been boys and Hawke had been the older brother, and it had been basically mandatory for him to remind Carver of this as often as possible. But they’d wrestled like country kids, they’d scuffled gracelessly with fists and kicks and the raw power of teenage boys.

    Hawke throws away the staff and slaps Fenris back with an open hand, the meat of his palm connecting with Fenris’ cheekbones.

     

    Sparring gets out of hand for Hawke and Fenris. And then, curiously, back in hand.
