Summary
Reth, Hassian, and Scyon enjoy a quiet evening at home after a hard day of work. This is the first time all three spend a night together, even though they've both been dating Scyon for nearly a year. Reth and Hassian still don't like each other - but that dynamic can cause sparks to fly, too.

Basically, I had an idea for a scene that is too soon to fit into my other fic (The Universe Has No End) which follows Scyon's semi-canon adventures in Palia, starting from when he landed at the temple. Since I didn't feel like waiting to write this until a later chapter, I wrote it now, and am posting it here.
It will eventually fit into the bigger story. For now, enjoy a bit of *spice* during Chapaa Taco Night (the alternative title to this that I ended up not going with)

Scyon is my original character from my fantasy novel series #BriarthorneUni. I plop him (and some others) into video games to expand on their lore.

“Chapaa steak,” Reth told Hassian. “Thought you’d like the irony.” Hassian huffed. “And a side of peppers. You don’t hate spicy food, and I thought you’d need it.” For a hunter like Hassian, being taken off guard meant death. Funny how it would be a simple cook that would break his defenses. When Hassian’s eyes grew wide, Reth smiled fondly. It was a smile they’d both forgotten he could muster. “Fallen in love yet?”
These words hit harder than a charging sernuk.
“Not even close,” Hassian growled.
