Summary
Learning a language for your bro was totally a reasonable thing to do, Reki decided. A best bro. A bro who you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. A bro who you would follow across the universe. A bro who you loved so much, as a friend, that you genuinely couldn’t imagine your life without them at your side.

It's almost time to graduate, and neither Reki nor Langa have any concrete plans for their first foray into adulthood. But they'll have to decide what to do eventually--whether it's going to university, finding a full-time job, or trying to make skating a lucrative past-time. There is only one sure thing: Reki wants his future to include Langa no matter what, even if that means following him halfway across the world.
Sure, Reki's aware that learning English won't guarantee that he and Langa spend the rest of their lives together, but he figures it'll at least give him a fighting chance.

Prim kicks her in the shin so hard that she thinks it might actually bruise. She drops her menu, but that’s mostly just so that she can glare at her.
“What was that for?” she asks.
“It’s him!” Prim hisses, gaze fixed somewhere over Katniss’ shoulder. It must be someone important, if she thinks that he’s worth the assault. Katniss cranes her neck, but the restaurant is mostly deserted and Katniss doesn’t recognize either of the guys sitting behind them.
“Who?” she asks. Based on the glare this earns her, she’s pretty sure her sister would disown her right now if she could.
“Peeta Mellark!” Prim says, right back to staring at him. “Honestly, Katniss. We just marathoned his movies last weekend.”
Modern AU. Peeta is famous and Katniss would like to think she couldn't possibly care less.

“I’m still cold.” Reki pauses. “And the floor is hard.”
Langa is so tired he would do anything to get Reki to be quiet. So he says, in English, “For the love of God,” and then, in Japanese, “Reki, come sleep up here.”

Reki and Langa take Miya and Koyomi on a trip back to Canada to the ski area where Langa learned to snowboard. Reki insists Langa be the one to teach him to snowboard, despite Langa's reluctance. He's never had to teach someone to snowboard before, and he's worried about messing it up. Fortunately, Reki is more interested in quality time with his boyfriend than becoming a great snowboarder.

Ms. Kamata made it very clear to them that the stock answer to this question is whatever the second-most expensive drink on the menu is (“Naming the most expensive one would be suspicious,” she’d explained), and 'caramel soy latte with white chocolate drizzle' is on the tip of his tongue when the man leans over the counter and says, smile still firmly in place, “Well, I’m sure you don’t have any opinions. You just work here, right?”
Or: Tadashi is a barista at the local coffee shop, and Adam - business major on weekdays, skater boy on weekends - is his most frequent customer.
