Summary
Ayin had been trying to read the words on the pages in front of him for the last give or take twenty minutes.
Not often did he lack the ability to concentrate to such a degree, and he couldn’t remember a time when he’d felt this wobbly, for lack of a better word.
This was intrinsically his fault, he knew this well.
He'd trapped himself in a certain kind of vicious cycle, one might say.Written per request of Mony33.

Summary
Rudy’s fingers were uncomfortably cold. It was obvious they would be, and perhaps they should’ve considered that possibility before getting outside, but no one could exactly blame them.
Their eyes were turned toward the sky, they’d been invited to look at it after all. Twinkling spots blanketed an all consuming darkness, vague shapes and figures formed as one followed them with intention.
The very weight of the universe close enough to be felt, yet far away enough to be reminded of how small humans were in the grand scheme of things.Written per request of axebunny.

Summary
It’d been exactly three weeks, five days, ten hours and twenty minutes since Carmen died.
Twenty-one minutes, now.
Ayin’s mind constantly went back to counting, no matter what he was supposed to be doing. Even if Benjamin was speaking to him, or if some other member of Carmen’s old team came to him with questions — half of his mind was always on this.Written per request of Mony33.

“Hey, Ayin… Have you heard about the game everyone’s playing?”
“… I don’t think so, no.”
“Would you like to play with me then?” Daniel smiled.
“I’m occupied.” Ayin pointed down at the open book on his desk, not a single change to be seen in his usual, completely blank expression.
“It’ll take like five minutes~”
“If it only takes that long then it can’t be all that interesting."Written per request of Mony33.

Summary
The sky past the half-opened windows in the classroom was beginning to turn a warm, comforting orange — something that only managed to piss Roland more, knowing that he could’ve been home already instead of stuck here. In this damned classroom. With the person he blamed for his current position.
“This is entirely your fault.” Roland wasn’t entirely sure how many times he’d repeated those words.
“I’m not sure how many times you’ve said that already.” Apparently neither did Ayin, not that this changed anything for him.[Sequel to "we can still call it detention"]

Summary
He stared down at Roland and Ayin, eyes moving from one to the other as they sat at the end of the desk, uncomfortably close to one another. Roland had his arms crossed over his chest defensively, while Ayin appeared as indifferent to everything around him as he usually did.
“Would you kindly tell me why you were fighting?”
Roland pouted and pushed his back against the chair, causing it to screech as it slid on the floor ever so slightly.
“It’s Ayin’s fault.”Written per request of Mony33.

Summary
Since the event in question — and his mind refused to put too much weight on its description, for the sake of his sanity, — Daniel had seen people going in and out from Ayin’s room semi-constantly. Not for anything untoward, at least he didn’t think so, but rather just in the process of attempting to comfort him in some fashion.
Surely he was the one who cared the most, difficult as it was for him to show that.Written per request of Mony33.

Ayin continued staring at him as Daniel ran circles in his own mind, every so often blinking rapidly at the rays of sunlight hitting him right on the face, just as disturbed as Daniel currently was by it. His hand had yet to move from Daniel’s own.

Summary
“—and then Olivier had the gall, the audacity, to say it was my fault!” Roland finished recounting a particular job he’d taken early in his career as a Fixer, apparently involving some sort of oversized plants that had a preference for human flesh.
Chesed had lost the plot for a minute or two. One reason for this was that Roland kept on adding little side notes to his story. The other, far more important reason was that Roland was sitting beside him on the couch and they were a tad too close for comfort.
(Only Chesed’s comfort, obviously. Roland didn’t seem to care whatsoever.)Written per request of Mony33.

Summary
“… This is starting to get annoying. What’s so embarrassing about your last crush? You can’t tell me it was that bad.”
Chesed practically cringed, looking away from Roland as he sipped his coffee. No matter how many times he demanded this information, receiving vague and completely useless answers in turn, Chesed wasn’t able to convince him there was reason for him to worry about such things. Partially Chesed’s own fault, for doing everything in his power to avoid giving him any direct answers.
