Summary
Sanji, of course, knew what to expect in the event he was ever reunited with his family. It is somehow still surprising just how blatant they are.
He expected this, the beatings, the abuse, but he is still somehow startled when guards force him to his feet, and he hears Judge direct them to take Sanji down to one of the labs.
“It’s been prepared for his physical,” Judge says.
And Sanji panics.

“Sometimes I’d pretend that I was at the All Blue and make up these shitty stories about all the stuff I would do there. None of it ever made any sense, obviously, but that’s just what dumb kids do.”
Sanji always tried so hard to act like he was all grown up. Luffy could tell that Sanji held himself back, all the stupid stuff in his head—obligations, debts, expectations—telling him to not just do what he wanted.
Luffy, of course, only very rarely thought about those things. “Okay, let’s do that.” He waved his arms to encompass the entire galley. “This is the All Blue.”

Luffy’s grandpa was well over nine feet tall and wide as a barn. Other than the occasional fist of love, this had no bearing on Luffy’s life until it suddenly did.
Sanji frowned, reaching out to press a hand to the top of Luffy’s head. “Am I going crazy or have you gotten taller?”
“If I get bigger, will you still carry me and cook for me and do my laundry and help me wash my hair?”
“Yes, you overgrown child—even if you’re more overgrown.”

Now that all of their dreams were accomplished, he and Sanji were both in the same place. Except Sanji was busy everyday, cooking for all these people who flocked together out of a mutual love for him.
And Zoro was there too because he just didn’t have a lot going on in his life anymore.

Sanji had clutched the raid suit.
He saw the look of terror on the geisha’s face, blood dripping down her forehead and into her eyes as she begged him not to hurt her. But there was an enemy before him, one who had imprisoned his captain.
Luffy promised that he would give up his dream for him. The thing was that after all these years, Sanji still didn’t know the right way to repay a debt.
He put on the suit, and everything went numb.
-
Sanji gives up his emotions, and the crew must deal with their new reality.

Summary
Sanji liked to stay on the positive side when it came to other people and their odd little behaviors and quirks, but it didn’t seem quite right to do it for his own. It was easier to think in terms of debt and survival and penance than focusing on the positives.
The mouse sitting on his shoulder, observing his meal prep, squeaked at him, and Sanji smiled.
This indulgence was done in honor of all the poor mice friends who had been killed because he showed them kindness. When Sanji reached his hand up to offer scraps too small to save for Luffy, the mouse nuzzled his fingers.
No other reason.

Sanji straightened his tie, smoothed back his hair, and smiled at his reflection in the mirror. The other Sanji, the one with black hair and cruel eyes that lived in his mind, said, “Do you ever wish you were different in every single way? Because you should.”
But Luffy said, “You’re a good cook.”
And Sanji smiled at the compliment even though Luffy knew he didn’t really understand it.

Sanji burst into flames, and all the pirates and all the cooks, except for Zeff and the weird little rubber chore boy, screamed.
“So cool!” Luffy said. “How did you do that!? Are you like me?”
Sanji didn’t know what that was supposed to mean and turned to look at Luffy while he burned. “What are you talking about?”
“You know,” Luffy said, stretching out his rubber cheek. “Are you a monster?”

“You know the four principles of wandering adventurers, right? Freedom, beauty, truth, and love. That’s what sailing the seas is all about.”
Sanji thought he could get behind at least three out of four of those principles, musing aloud, “Love, huh?”
At the same time Luffy echoed, “Freedom…”

“We should let the cook know how things are done around here.”
For the most part, Zoro approved of Luffy’s decisions, but his choice of crewmembers had taken a nosedive after his own recruitment. Especially the cook, who apparently had more sway over Luffy than Zoro first presumed.
“I’m Zoro,” he said. “The first mate. Which means I’m the captain’s right hand man. That clear?”
Sanji’s scowl deepened. “Yeah, I got it.”
Nami sighed. “I feel like this is the start of something horrible.”

“What are you thinking about?” Luffy asks, pressing his hand to Sanji’s forehead. “Sanji goes somewhere else sometimes. You’re here and then you’re not, but you always come back so it’s okay. Unless it’s not a good place?”
Sanji doesn’t think he has the words to describe what goes on in his head when his mind is gone.

Luffy’s eyes are unfocused as he smiles at Sanji. Robin takes a measured sip of her coffee in the same amount of time it takes Luffy to bite clear through half of his sandwich.
Sanji swipes a few napkins off the table and sets about wiping crumbs from Luffy’s face. “I’m so sorry about him, Robin-chan.”
“It’s quite alright,” she says. And it is because there is something very sweet about the scene in front of her. Robin smiles. One out of seven lights click on.

“It is quite tragic,” Ferdinand said. “We fought a war so everyone could marry and love as they please. Everyone except for Edelgard. If I could marry in her place to lead the people of Fodlan along their path, then I would.”
“I think she’s in talks with the new Margrave from Gautier,” Byleth said. “Would you marry Sylvain?”
“Oh, um, well…”
-
