Summary
Mac takes a deep breath, steels his nerves, and slams the metal sign into the dirt next to the pole. A swift, painful kick to the sign, and the wires snap as the whole pole topples over. Mac doesn’t wait to see if it lands on anything. He turns and runs, pushing through the screaming pain in his ribs, trying to get as far away as he can before-
“Light him up!”
That.

Summary
As far as Bruce is aware (and he’s done his research), he is the only one who knows Billy Batson’s true identity. He has a sneaking suspicion that J’onn might know, purely based on the mind reading, but he also knows J’onn likes to let them all have their privacy if they want it. So it’s just a suspicion, and he’s no way to prove it, so definitively, he’s the only one who knows that Shazam is actually a fifteen year old boy. (There’s another unprovable suspicion that Clark knows as well, but the previous statement still stands.)

When Shazam makes a tough, last-resort decision on a mission offworld, Batman can’t shut off the batdad mode and brings him back to the Cave to help him deal.

Summary
It’s better for Aramis this way, to not give Porthos more than a passing chance to change his mind. Better for Athos, easier for him to accept his friend’s, his brother’s decision without giving him the opportunity to realize he can’t stomach the idea of Aramis leaving. He knows if he sees him again, he won’t be able to keep quiet, won’t be able to stop himself begging Aramis to stay. Yet, even still, there’s a part of him that hopes Aramis will come by one last time before he leaves Paris. A part of him that hopes his brother will saunter up the stairs and into his apartments, hat in hand, smiling as always.

Summary
Later, when she looks back on it, Juliet Higgins is going to agonize over every single moment leading up to that one horrifying second, and pick apart each little thing she could’ve done to avoid it. But the truth of the matter is, that’s going to do her no good in the end. And it doesn’t even matter right now. Because right now, the only thing that matters is that Thomas Magnum is bleeding out onto Robin Masters’ floor, and it’s entirely her fault.

Summary
“Who the hell runs into an abandoned office building with floor to ceiling windows to hide?!” Jack wheezes, and Mac chuckles.
“I don’t know, but remind me to thank him for it when we catch him,” he jokes, and Jack scoffs.
“Yeah, sure thing, kid, right after I break his nose for making me run this fast.”

Summary
Missing scene to the pilot episode, because I desperately needed Jack’s reaction to finding Mac in the water, surrounded by an ocean of red. Plus some extra emotional angst.

Summary
Jack Dalton never really thought of himself as the fatherly type. Sure, he liked kids and they liked him, but with the life that he’s led and the scars he’s got, it just wasn’t ever on his mind. Horses were his kids, and that’s how he thought he’d always be. Until he met the hamburger kid. Also known as Angus MacGyver— teen-aged genius, limbs too long for his own good, skinny as a rail, blond hair that hadn’t ever seen the sharp end of anything, always sporting a new bruise in evidence of his massive clumsiness. From the moment the then-fifteen-year-old came into his life, Jack felt a fierce need to protect this kid from everything the world could ever throw at him. Jack tried to avoid it, he really tried. But he just couldn’t help the way this kid practically tripped and landed right into his heart and, quite literally, his arms.

A high-speed chase down a snowy road with a crazy genius who refuses to use either his seat or his seatbelt properly? That’s just a recipe for a very awful disaster.

Summary
Mac knows he’s in trouble. He can feel the effects of the blood loss, feel the pain radiating from his left side. He’s well aware the wall to his right is practically the only thing keeping him upright. He’s more than aware of the warm liquid coating his clothes. He knows. But the problem is, Jack is in trouble, too. And Mac also knows that if he doesn’t get this done, then Jack won’t just be in trouble— he’ll be dead.

Summary
“You told me that you were ok! You promised!”
—————
Jack clamps a hand over the wound in his side, not caring that he screams now, because who’s around to hear him anyway? He thinks maybe he should try to get up, try to get to Mac, but his brain is too slow and his body won’t move. He leans his head back against the wall and tries to breathe through the pain. Blackness creeps into his vision and he fights it as hard as he can. He tries to think of Mac, of the scared look on his face when Jack caught his eye the last time, but the pull of sleep is too strong. His head rolls forward and he slips into darkness, soot-stained blond hair and tear-filled blue eyes the last things he sees. -
