Summary
Orym wakes up to the scent of iron. The groggy recognition of the smell of blood jolts him fully awake, and he sits bolt upright in bed where he’s cradled between Dorian and Fearne. Dorian has shifted in the night, rolling over to his side, and Orym’s eyes are instantly drawn to the dark, red stain coating the entire left side of Dorian’s clothing. Some of it looks long dried, but there’s a fresh spot that, coupled with the smell, tells Orym that something is still bleeding, and badly. Orym feels like he can’t breathe. For a moment he hears nothing but the pounding of his heart in his ears, and it’s only made worse when he realizes he can’t tell if Dorian is breathing or not. Without even hesitating, he’s yelling at the top of his lungs as he rolls Dorian onto his back, desperately checking for a pulse.
Dorian hides an injury and it goes about as well as you'd expect.

Summary
Realistically, Steve knew none of them were coming out of this unscathed. He may be dumb, but he’s not that stupid. You don’t face the things they’ve faced without taking some hits. Hell, he’s taken his fair share of physical damage (he hears Dustin’s voice say “HP, Steve! It’s HP!” in his head), and he knows they all have nightmares. So yeah, Steve knew, but that doesn’t mean he’s prepared for it.

Summary
Orym doesn’t unclench his fists until the three of them are back in their room at Eshteross’ manor, having decided it was safer to stay with him than go back to the inn. He takes his armor off quickly, hardly pausing to think the moment he’s through the door. He pushes past Dorian, unable to even look at him, the anger and the fear from the night burning hotter than Mister’s flames. He knows if he even looks at Dorian for longer than half a second, the fear will turn to vitriolic anger and he’ll end up saying something he regrets. Or worse, saying more than he ever intends to.

“Um… Mr. Murdock, sir?” The kid asks, almost for clarification but something tells Matt he doesn’t need it. But he nods anyway, and the kid continues. “I was hoping maybe you could give me some legal advice? I’m in a bit of a… tough financial and maybe legal situation,” the kid continues, stuttering nervously and unable to look at Matt directly. Matt cocks his head to the side, studying the kid in front of him. He waits, and sure enough the kid explains on his own. “You see I don’t have a job and haven’t been able to pay rent, but legally it’s been… difficult for me to get a job, if that makes sense?” Matt is confused, but legal issues he can help with.
“Well, let’s see what we can help you with, Mr…” he trails off, gesturing for the kid to fill in the blank. The teenager shifts uncomfortably in his seat, hesitating for half a second before answering, almost like he’s unsure of his own name.
“Parker. Uh. Peter Parker, sir.”
As soon as the kid says his name, something in Matt pauses. He’s sure they’ve never met before, and yet…
He tilts his head a little to the left, listening intently to Peter as he asks,
“Have we met before, Mr. Parker?”

He can hear Dorian gasping in horror to his right, and he struggles to stay upright, keeping his shield arm raised and his injured arm as unthreatening as possible. It’s excruciating, and he isn’t sure he can take much more of this. And then the crossbow is reloaded with incredible speed, and it’s being leveled at Dorian now. Orym’s heart, thundering in his ears, skips several beats. His stomach jumps into his throat, and he has to fight the nausea and the panic back down.

Mac wakes up with a scream, shooting upright in bed. He doesn’t even notice the tears streaming down his face, all he can do is try to breathe. He’s gasping and panting and he can still hear Jack’s scream in his head and it’s killing him. He knows. He knows it was an act, it was a ploy, the gun was a blank. Jack is alive, and he’s perfectly fine. But he’d still shot the gun. He’d shot the gun while he had it pointed at Jack and his brain won’t stop replaying it. It’s always on a constant loop. At least when he’s awake it’s just a replay. When he dreams at night, it’s twisted, a demented nightmare. When he drifts off, it’s suddenly real. There’s no fake act, no blank, no bag of blood.

Summary
How they ended up here really isn’t important. What is important is that now they’re here, trussed up in chains along the wall, Harry on the opposite wall to Eggsy. And that in and of itself makes Harry more anxious than the chains around his wrists and ankles, makes him more anxious than the tray two men are wheeling in loaded with various tools and painful implements. Because Eggsy is across the room from him, a good 8 feet away, and Harry can’t reach him. It fills him with a dread so deep, a feeling of discomfort so severe it feels like his very insides are crawling with molten lava. They haven’t pulled the blindfold off Eggsy yet, and Harry feels a blinding rage when the squeak of the metal wheels pulls a barely noticeable flinch from the younger man.

“Hold up, kid, what ‘lake incident’”? Tony questions, using Peter’s own words.
“Ya know, the one where the Vulture first showed up? He dropped me in the lake and you showed up to help me out. Although, now that I think about it, you didn’t actually show up so that might be why you don’t remember,” Peter trails off, getting distracted by his own thoughts before going back to the wiring he’s working on. That comment stings a little, but the feeling is quickly brushed aside as his confusion grows, and the nonchalant way Peter mentions it just ratchets his fear up even further.

Buck, as Eddie is just finding out, doesn’t like needles. Like, really, really doesn’t like needles. The “pass out when you see one” kind of not liking needles. Eddie somehow never knew this before, and honestly, if it weren’t for Buck about to have a panic attack in front of him, he wouldn’t have believed it. But right now he believes it, because the moment Eddie mentioned that he’s gonna have to stitch up the nasty, very heavily bleeding gash in Buck’s thigh, Buck had gone even paler than he already was and started trembling.

Only, Buck couldn’t be so lucky today. Oh no, Bobby had meant his home. So that was how Buck ended up getting out of an Uber in front of Bobby and Athena’s house. That doesn’t, however, explain what he’s doing sitting in a tree.

Bloody hell, he thinks, before quickly tossing his kit down onto a nearby gurney and wordlessly shouldering Wayne out of his way. The other man is tight-lipped and pale, the top half of his suit missing and his left arm cradled awkwardly against his chest.

His subconscious viewed Sam Wilson, a man Bucky has done nothing but bicker with and insult and accuse, as something so intrinsically safe that he was able to sleep peacefully for the first time since The Train. Sam Wilson feels like home, and it terrifies him.
