Summary
Felicity Smoak wanted to save the world, but ended up getting her college boyfriend arrested. When he dies in prison under suspicious circumstances, she drops out of MIT and throws herself into tracking down the people responsible. Horrible coincidences befall her, and the authorities are no help.
One night, while cutting through an alley after meeting a dead-end contact, she interrupts a murder in progress. Struggling with the killer, she is left holding the bloody knife over the body of a cop when the black-and-whites hit the scene. She is sentenced to life in prison.
A month later, she wakes in a sterile white room, strapped to a hospital bed. A Greek statue of a man sits calmly at the foot of the bed. “We’ve decided to give you a second chance,” he says…
Can Oliver Queen teach Felicity to kill in cold blood and quench the light inside her, even as that light kindles the humanity he long thought he had lost?
