Peter always noticed when he spoke in class, strictly because he sat behind him in every class and Wade’s back always tensed so visibly whenever he was called on to answer a question. It didn’t matter which of the four courses they shared, if the question was about Anne Frank, verbs, algebra or even fucking women’s rights history, Wade’s back always tensed. The guy would then crack some joke, followed by half of a completely wrong answer, then pause and give the right one.

ON HIATUS
John Egbert has just begun his first year at Skaia Academy, or rather, has just started moving in. He's optimistic about nearly everything, and he's a more than a little confused as to why his family hasn't told him anything about this Dave guy, who apparently knows quite a bit about him.
Dave Strider has been a total jerk for most of his life and his family's been trying to change that for the past year. He's totally not crushing on his brother's friend's cousin, who he's never even talked to in a long time.
Rose Lalonde is trying to balance an education, extracurricular activities, a social life, and a crush all at the same time, and it's not really working.
Jade Harley is frankly just trying to figure out her sexuality, if she even has one, what she's going to do in life, and whether or not she should tell her cousin John about this Dave guy.
