“What if we’re soulmates?” Deku whispers into his shoulder, asking the question Katsuki wants to bury in the ground, deep into the earth until time forgets it. “What if it’s you and me?”
“It’s always been you and me.” He answers. “Nothing has to change.”
Deku’s hum of agreement is tinged with uncertainty. He grinds his chin more firmly into Katsuki’s shoulder.
“Ok Kacchan, whatever you want.”
or Katsuki has known Izuku was his soulmate since he was 13, even though he’s never wanted one. By the time he accepts it the world has ended and Deku is on the run.

“Oh my gosh, Kaccchan! I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to—" Deku blathers. He yanks up his shirt and freezes, hand hovering over Katsuki’s stomach like he’s afraid to touch it.
Katsuki’s breath wheezes out once, twice. Then he punches Deku in the nose.
“Urgh!” Deku says.
“Huurgh.” Katsuki answers.
Or Kacchan and Deku poke at old wounds. Literally.

Summary
Deku hits the ice hard, head bouncing with a dull thud that makes Katsuki wince. For a heart stopping second he thinks Deku is going to stand back up. Then the ice shatters like glass and Deku is sucked under, a messy crust of blood still clinging to the jagged edges of the hole’s rim.
Or Katsuki gives Deku the kiss of life.

Yuuta is glad Toge has been the first to found him – he already felt childish enough to move to sleep in the common room because his own room is too dark, but thankfully Toge had been kind and understanding in his quiet way and it had calmed down Yuuta immensely. If it were, say, Maki to discover him first, he would have probably been kicked back to his room to fend for himself.
Toge quickly discovered that Yuuta moved a lot in his sleep. Maki even worse.
He enjoys the company, nonetheless.Series

Toge Inumaki was the very last person that anyone would ever consider to be good at communication.
Throughout his childhood, not being able to communicate with others left him isolated and poorly socialised, even more so in political Jujutsu society where his ability was feared and detested. People didn’t want him around — not then, and not now.
Toge Inumaki was not known for his ability to communicate with others, but he could communicate with this girl.
// The Jujutsu Tech students stumble across a lost deaf child, and for once Toge is the one able to communicate where others cannot.

Summary
Jujutsu sorcerers die young. That’s a fact. Inumaki jujutsu sorcerers die even younger, die more often, die stranded and stupid and misguided. They suddenly keel over on missions and in family homes and on the street and in the Japanese countryside. Toge has very few cousins, only one that’s close to his age. His own grandfather is the oldest cursed speech user to ever live, the next closest died in her fifties and had taken a thirty year vow of silence.
Cursed speech inherently means death for its wielder. It cracks up through the larynx and burns its way out of the mouth, ripping tissue out to make room for power. Cursed speech users do not usually make it to middle age. They die burned by their cursed technique in their own blood filled mouths.
Most likely, Toge will follow suit.
Or, There's a lot more to the Inumaki Clan than their name and an inherited curse technique. Toge, for example, would have neither if he had it his way.
