The Six Eyes can’t see thermal energy, but Satoru likes to imagine she’s blushing at the way he drops his voice low. She’s almost definitely not. ‘Let’s fix this first,’ she sighs, tugging at the end of a bandage. ‘I have some clippers in the exam room.’
If Satoru’s eyes weren’t already shut, he would have blinked. ‘What do you need clippers for?’
‘I’m going to cut your hair, dummy.’
Upon returning from medical school, Shōko discovers that Satoru is long overdue a haircut.

He hadn’t allowed himself to consider the possibility that Shoko and Satoru wouldn’t want to see him. “What, were you going to go in there with a blue balloon and ask them what names they’ve been thinking of? You’re smarter than this, Suguru. You know you shouldn’t go see them.” Yaga sits back, sighing.”
