Summary
“I assure you, the signs of your aging are not a problem in the slightest for me,” Guydelot said, a little more breathless and earnest than he’d intended to let on. He lifted his other hand to swipe across Sanson’s cheek, thumbing over the ridges and lines that had appeared and grown deeper with time. Whether it was the twin scars marking his chest, or the faded, diagonal gash on his side, each line marked the highs and lows of his life; achievements and failures, all carved into his skin for the world to see. Time, Guydelot thought, suited him rather well.
A quiet morning in bed between Sanson and Guydelot, many years later.

Summary
Guydelot crossed the office with a few easy strides and planted his hands on Sanson’s desk, his index finger dangerously close to some still-wet ink. Sanson scowled at it. “You’ve got a home to go back to, just the same as the rest of ‘em.” Sanson’s eyes were still trained on the drying ink, and Guydelot ducked his head, trying to catch his gaze. When he did, he added: “And someone waitin’ for you”.
Sanson's a workaholic, and Guydelot just wants to go home.

Summary
Since her arrival in the First, the Warrior of Light’s second-floor Pendants suite had gone largely unused. She had politely listened as the manager of suites had shown her around, and advised Feo Ul to store all her belongings there, but day and night the room stayed empty. Instead, Fusao could be found one floor up and down the hall, in the smaller room her wife had made a home away from home for the past year. Even filled with unfamiliar items and scents, drawers piled high with clothes Fusao had never seen her wear, and littered with weapons she hadn’t known how to use on the Source, every corner of the room was distinctly Kira, and that was more comfort than even the most lavish suite could provide.

Summary
"...I'm relieved, more than anything; that my family hasn't had to worry about me. They may not even know that I'm gone yet," she paused again, wringing her hands in her lap. "But the selfish part of me is...bitter. Bitter that I've spent months aching for their company, and my wife—" a hard swallow, her voice turning gravelly, "—Fusao may not even know to miss me."
When the night ceases to offer distractions, a wandering mind brings Kira into the company of the Exarch.

Summary
It had not been so many moons since Guydelot had last found himself charging recklessly to rescue Sanson, but unlike those moons ago, Guydelot had no leverage here; no assurance that Sanson would remain unharmed, even for a little time. There were no bargaining chips for soldiers on the battlefield.
Sanson goes missing in the Ghimlyt Dark.
