Jeno’s eyes widen, taken off guard.

He swallows. Jeno concentrated on him, eyes with not a hint of deceit. Donghyuck feels his heart skip a beat, when he shares his own: “Worship me.”
Or; Jeno and Donghyuck are two lost souls, finding a tether to ground them in the infinite cycle of mundane.

The city was undoubtedly dead.
Donghyuck and Mark had been carefully strolling around for half an hour, but they didn't see any living beings. There was no sign of humanity, and even animals weren't showing themselves. Donghyuck looked at the sky a lot, expecting to see a bird flying by. But there were no birds. He hadn't heard them chirping for a long time now.
Only the bodies of the unnamed lay on the ground, covering pavements and streets. Although Mark, getting too much into his role as an older kid, asked Donghyuck to look away whenever they passed by the smelly, dismembered corpses, the boy looked at them each time, as he was aware he had to know the horrors of life outside.
Survival is the most important ability. Donghyuck has been told he's weak and will never survive without the protective wing of a community. But that's a lie. Just because he's different, it doesn't mean he has no skills to understand the dangers. He gets it way more than the others.
