“It’s just,” says Nobara, “well. It’s sort of impressive, how Itadori keeps showing up at your place.”
Megumi stares. “What?”
“His crush on you. You should do something about that,” says Nobara, looking at him like he’s the idiot. Then she scrunches her nose. “God, why he picked you, that I don’t understand… or how the hell someone crushed on you before me.”
The desk in front of her is, now that the ground under Megumi seems to be wobbling, much more inviting. Megumi sits, his elbow landing on Nobara’s desk, his arm blocking him from the rest of the room’s view.
“He does not,” says Megumi, “have a crush on me. He’s there for the dogs.”
Itadori Yuuji likes dogs; Megumi has dogs. It's as simple as that.

When Nobara said she wanted to experience an exciting city life, she meant like, have access to working public transportation. Or like, be able to visit more than the same two restaurants. Not "join a band with a bunch of delinquents in order to save themselves from expulsion and eternal social ostracization." And most certainly not "become the love guru to your three emotionally stunted and stupidly gay bandmates while also being trapped in an homosexually coded rivalry with the student council president who kind of hates your guts."
Seriously. She just wanted to go to Harajuku.

Maybe Sukuna isn’t wrong about that, Fushiguro thinks in a daze. Itadori’s heart is too heavy and too precious. It’s a burden that shouldn’t be given to anyone else. Because even Itadori himself can’t take care of it, can’t hold onto it for the life of him because he’d rather become the vessel to the most wretched of all curses just to help two people he’s only known for a few months—to help Fushiguro, who he’d only met that night.
(I can keep it. Fushiguro’s hands move. I can hold onto it, if you want.)
Maybe Sukuna’s definition of ruin wasn’t all that wrong from what Fushiguro wanted after all. Maybe that did make him just as wretched.
But if Itadori was still willing to stay beside him, despite knowing that—
Then there was no reason for Fushiguro to let him go.
Or—
Some dreams start to keep Fushiguro up at night, and the cure to stopping them might be closer than he thinks.

Yuuji frowned, reading it again. And again, and again. "...I can't believe he's still going on about the hair thing! I've showed him pictures from when I was a kid! He knows it's natural- now do you see why I say he's annoying?"
"That's what you got from this?" With a sigh, Nobara let herself slump to the floor. "It's hopeless. You're never gonna get together. I'm going to be stuck in the middle forever. This is now my life. Trying to get two stupid gays to confess."

Then Itadori raised his hands slightly and Fushiguro noticed what he had been carrying in them—it was bentos. He uncrossed his arms and looked down at it curiously.
“What is that?” Fushiguro asked, looking up at the excitement prevailing on Itadori’s face.
“My dinner—”
“Don’t even think about eating in my room.” Fushiguro stepped forward, frowning.
“—and your dinner.” Itadori finished. He lifted the bentos and winked at him, giving him a huge smile.
Fushiguro blinked, puzzled for a few seconds. “Huh?”
Fushiguro's room was neat and well organized, everything where it needed to be and nothing more. It was no surprise that Itadori made a mess in his wake when he knocked on his door that evening, looking like the excited hurricane he was. But if Itadori took some affection with him on the way, well, Fushiguro could be trying to deny it even if he didn't really want to.
