Summary
Maybe he had gotten too used to his dad’s presence in his life. Maybe he had gotten too comfortable, knowing his dad would always be there for him. Maybe he had let his guard down, gotten too happy, too “confident” that no matter what, his dad would be there to sing him his silly little lullaby at night.
And maybe, Ramón had never felt so empty before, staring at the cobblestone wall of the house he called theirs.

“So you’re familiar with the gods.”
Tubbo barked out a harsh laugh at this. “Familiar? Familiar doesn’t begin to cover it, bud.” He raked his hands through his hair again, and began to pace in front of his chests. “The gods are fucking bastards, okay? They’ll lie to you to make your life a living hell. They’ll trick you into marrying them and then use that as an excuse to never fucking leave you alone-”
“Wait, marry them?” Fit asked.
“Yeah! They’ll trick you into marriage if you’re not fucking careful!” Tubbo exclaimed, his green-blue eyes blown wide.
Fit considered this for a moment. “You know, I’m just gonna hazard a guess here and say that you’re speaking from personal experience on this one.”
At this, Tubbo groaned and dragged his hands down his face. Fit shared a look with Sunny, who seemed just as confused as he was.

Summary
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you up,” he apologized, walking over to the edge of her bed.
“I need my beauty sleep, Pa,” she signed to him, giving him an annoyed look.
Snorting, Tubbo reached down to gently ruffle her hair. “Of course, princess. My deepest apologies. Won’t do it again.”
With that, he turned to leave the bedroom, but before he could take a single step there was a small hand wrapping around his wrist.
“Sunny?” He asked, glancing back.
The sunglasses Sunny wore all day were carefully folded on the nightstand, leaving her blue-green eyes visible as she narrowed them at him. “Pa, why are you awake?” She asked, signing with one hand so she could keep holding his wrist with the other.
or, somehow Tubbo has ended up as a father. That doesn't exactly do wonders for his sleep schedule, and Sunny is surprisingly perceptive.
