"I'm a witch, I mean," he said. An invitation. Bait, if Dream was a different man, one who didn’t wear cat beanies and who didn’t believe in love and good and kindness. Dream had always been partial to the sunlight side of the world he inhabited, at least when he could. Whatever it was, the man took it, clean.
“A witch?” His voice changed, a sound that said smile as well as it did the words that his lips and tongue formed. Dream got a glimpse of his teeth. They were sharp, but he could tell they didn’t get used like that. They were kind of small. Little pearly seashells tucked into tender pink flesh, the type that you’d feel guilty for chipping even if they were the ones trying to take chunks out of you. “You know magic?”

Summary
“I’m happy,” George whispers, the words slipping past his lips without permission.
“Huh?” Dream says. “What’s that, baby?”
Sapnap’s watching them. His eyes dart away when they meet George’s and he ducks under the water.
“I said, ‘’m happy’,” George mumbles, feeling slightly embarrassed at the honesty. He feels the need to layer over it with a joke but he can’t think of one.
“Yeah?” Dream says with an audible smile. And George only tucks his cheek further into Dream and reaches over to fiddle with his boyfriend's chain.
[Or, Dream and George’s love is literally written in the stars; scattered amongst aeons and time; mapped out by the dust of space that led them both together. They're inevitable.]

Dream asks him about his love life sometimes, pesters him with questions about if he wants a girlfriend, if he’s ever had a girlfriend, if he even likes girls at all, and Sapnap laughs along, teasing him in the same way.
It’s always the same answers. No, yes, mind your business. Not always in that order.
He’d rather spend his time on the phone with his friends, anyway. He’d take Dream’s laughter in his ears over the company of anyone else.

“You can tell me to stop, if I’m pushing it or whatever,” Sapnap rushes, like he’s afraid he’s overstepping. “I just—I don’t know, dude. He’s literally curled up on your lap.”
Dream, feigning sleep, feels his skin prickle with warmth as George holds Dream’s head to his chest, fingers tangled in his hair when he answers for both of them. “And?”
