Before his brain – or his heart, in fear of it being its last living hours, Chris isn’t exactly sure which one is in charge right now – can talk him out of it, he speed-dials the most intimidating phone number he has ever set eyes on. And he had to make a lot of terrifying phone calls to a lot of terrifying people. It rings three, four times, until that familiar, always a bit hesitant, but yet so easily excitable, voice comes on.
“Hey, Chris, how are ya?"
Chris takes a very deep breath to keep from blurting out the truth. That he is so damn scared of what he’s about to do that he just wants to run away. Straight into those now a bit less heavily muscled arms, if possible.

Bucky thinks about sitting up in bed, ready to comfort Steve, but he has a feeling that tonight, Steve will prefer squeezing Bucky to his chest and whispering soft, loving words into his ear. When Bucky hears the bedroom door open, he lifts his head up from the pillow and gives an unintelligible hum of acknowledgement, letting his boyfriend know that his presence is noted and he can stomp around like he normally does.
Bucky can’t see Steve’s smile in the darkness of the room, yet he knows with one hundred percent certainty that it’s there, lighting up his most beloved face, and that he’s the reason for it. It’s a heady feeling, every single time.Or alternatively:

Chris lets his briefcase drop in favor of squishing Dodger’s face between his hands and rubbing behind his floppy ears.
Seb chuckles, drawing Chris’s attention to him. “When you’re ready to stop playing long lost lovers, you can have dinner with me. That is if I’m deemed acceptable company for you two lovebirds.”
And what is Chris to say in the face of such blatant love wrapped up in sassy remarks, delivered by that honey-sweet voice? He really doesn’t know. After all this time, Sebastian still steals his words, his breath, his heart away like it’s only been two dates and a stolen half hour during lunch break.
Or alternatively: Chris comes home from a long, stressful day at work and showering Sebastian in love and kisses is exactly what he needs to unwind.

He's convinced the creature in his woods isn't a bear, but the wendigo itself. Except people say wendigo are just myth...

There's a tall, dark-haired man standing at the corner of the street with a guitar and microphone, and yeah, that in itself isn't too unusual, but the thing that Sam really notices is the hat.
It is, honestly, ridiculous. It could possibly pass for a regular top hat, except it's about two feet tall, hot pink, and has several giant, multi-coloured feathers attached to the back. It's also sparkly. Because of course it is.
Snickering, Sam nudges Bucky. "Hey. Look at that."
Bucky looks up from the (very large, very sweet) Frappuccino he's been slurping at for the past block and a half to look where Sam's pointing, but instead of laughing right along with him Bucky's eyes widen and he says, very quietly, "Oh."
