Gerard is the reluctant owner of a failing bookstore left to him by his grandmother, staying sober and keeping the place open and not doing much else. Frank is a reluctant corporate broker, white-knuckling sobriety by not staying in one place too long, buying buildings for companies he doesn't respect.
When their current lives intersect over six weeks, they confront who they are, who they were, and the feelings they never fully grew out of.

Summary
Gerard didn’t think he would make it past the age of 25. It just never seemed to be in the cards for him. The world he lived in was not meant for people like him. That’s why at the age of 26, somehow still kicking, he found himself adrift, attending weekly group therapy sessions for suicide survivors and scrambling to make a list of all the reasons he shouldn’t try again.
He certainly never expected the newest, aggressively hostile member of the therapy group - Frank, who seems to hate everyone and everything on principle - to become the next bullet point on that list.

Summary

Then he meets Frank. Gorgeous, cool as fuck, and a fucking joy to be around if his band would come home from tour once in a while. Gerard knows what he wants—to be happy. He just has to figure out how to get there.
Spoiler: Gerard cries a lot but gets his happy ending.
