truth be told, hana had expected something different. maybe some kind of ninja hideout behind a secret wall, one filled to the ceiling with kunai and equally pointy objects. she hadn't expected to find baby photos on the fridge, or overwatered plants in pink little pots, or a cat-shaped clock that greeted her with the cheerful ding of midnight.
in the soft glow of her bedroom lamp, the girl in the fox mask doesn't seem so frightening anymore.
