Harriet sits down at one of the tables in the center of the room, and tucks her hands under her thighs, to keep from nervously picking at her fingernails. A few seconds later, the door buzzes open, and in steps the man from before, with a pair of strangers standing behind him.
“This is Harriet.” The man says, gesturing to her without care.
The man and woman look at her curiously as they take a careful seat from across her. Their eyes on her feel like an odd examination.
“Who are you?” Harriet asks. “Why are you visiting me? I’ve never received visitors before.”
“My name is Albus Dumbledore.” The man says, and points to the woman beside him. “This is Minerva McGonagall. Have you ever heard of magic?”
It is 1995, when Harriet Lily Potter, the Girl-Who-Lived, finally gets invited to Hogwarts.
Entering as a fifth-year transfer student, Harriet is years behind her peers. With an ancient magic growing beneath her skin, a school full of dangerous questions, and a powerful dark lord to defeat, Harriet attempts to save the world, and pass her O.W.L.s at the same time.
