“You know –” Wonpil started, but stuttered when he got everyone’s attention. “You – you know what I read one time? Um. Paul McCartney – he told this story about how the Beatles used to – bond.”
“Wait,” Younghyun stuttered, too. Like he knew the same secret. Then dared: “Keep – keep going. Keep going with that.”
Sungjin was glad he didn’t have to be the one that prompted the explanation. Paul McCartney – or any Beatle, really – was the standard for what bands were allowed to get up to. Short of acid or cocaine or whatever the hell they were doing back then. And Wonpil wouldn’t have brought it up if it wasn’t feasible. Besides, Sungjin was desperate. He’d do anything to get their closeness back.
