Summary
In the city of Kumasaki, Japan, mechanical body modifications were made illegal after a recent uprising of government constrictions after the election of a new Prime Minister.
Thus began the era of bounty hunters, finding and kidnapping or killing those who had these previous body modifications. These bounty hunters were paid dutifully by the government to conduct top secret missions to not only find those with body modifications, but all fugitives the government simply did not want to deal with.
Yoarashi Inasa was one of those bounty hunters, hunting people for sport and collecting the thousands of yen payouts nearly every day… he was one of the top bounty hunters in Japan.
Until he was put on the case of a man named Todoroki Shoto. A man who had murdered seemingly dozens, robbed the government, and started riots against the new prime minister… and was nearly ninety percent mechanical body modifications. Shoto Todoroki, one of the most wanted people in Kumasaki.

In another life, maybe this could have been a different story. Maybe Akaashi could’ve been a prince waiting for his knight in shining armour. Maybe Bokuto could’ve been a hero searching for his one true love. Maybe their lives could've been normal, where they didn't belong to opposing, warring families. Or at least normal enough for them to fall in love like they so desperately wanted. Then, maybe, just maybe, the two of them could’ve had their happily ever after. In another life.
