There was something weird about the way Spidey was looking at him tonight. And not weird in the usual trying-to-figure-out-if-you’re-gonna-blow-something-up-or-just-annoy-me-to-death way. The way his hands never stopped moving, always fidgeting, always restless. Like if he stopped for too long, he might just disappear.
No, this was different. Which was a smidge terrifying.
Spidey’s gaze lingered on his face just a little too long, and Wade caught him looking. “What?” Wade asked, raising an eyebrow. “You trying to figure out if I’m going to turn into a zombie or something? Because, spoiler alert, it’s always a possibility.”
“No, I just,” Spidey shook his head, smiling faintly. “I don’t know. You’re different tonight.”
Wade’s grin faltered for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then he shrugged, leaning back against the couch cushions. “Different how? Less murderous? More charming? Or is it the pepperoni breath, because I can fix that.”
“No, I—” Spidey hesitated, setting down his own slice of pizza. “I think... I think we should fuck.”

It had been close to two years since Peter had made a massive miscalculation and ended up kidnapped, stranded on a cruise ship, in the middle of the ocean. Two years since he first went into heat and two years since he last saw the Alpha who helped him through it all.
The only thing Peter had left to remember the Alpha by was the collar he had gifted Peter with. It was a simple black band, probably something the Alpha had purchased off the cruise ship souvenir store. Even two years later, Peter had still not managed to ditch the habit of wearing the collar every time he went outside. He told MJ it was so he could turn down any Alpha advances without hurting their fragile egos, but truthfully, he had yet to let go of the Alpha's memory. He just wasn’t ready yet.
