Frank: pick up the phoneThe phone gave a sharp ring once. Twice. Gerard stared at it as it continued to ring, all of his carefully constructed plans falling apart in front of his eyes. No. Frank wasn't supposed to do this. He was supposed to let him go.

Gerard is on the Benjamin Franklin bridge and is about to kill himself. Before he does, he sends a text to each of the important people in his life.

"I never stopped believing in Hell. Or at least the existence of something like it." Gerard scratched a hand across his face. "Even if there is no God in the way they explain it, and most of those stories didn't even happen... Hell is the one thing I can't bring myself to not believe."
"Why not?"
He shrugged. "I know it probably doesn't exist, but at the same time it feels like it does, I guess. It's--it's fucking stupid."
Gerard walks in on Mikey and Pete having sex. This forces him to confront the fact that he's gay, but religious guilt makes it difficult for him to do. He and Frank have a conversation.

"Enough." Frank's voice was low and soft. "I have another granola bar. And look, it's low calories--" his voice fully broke on the word "--and has no sugar, and barely anything to it, really. Basically just oats and nuts and whatever the fuck holds granola bars together."
Gerard shook his head vehemently. "I'm not eating. Not now, not like this."
"Do you want me to get Ray? Or God forbid Mikey?" It shouldn't sound like a threat, but it did, and he jerked his head to the side in a quick no. "Then eat at least three bites of it. Just three bites. Come on Gee, that's all I'm asking of you, okay?"
Gerard has an eating disorder, and the white skinny jeans are not helping. Frank gets him to eat, even if it's only a little.
