    “How do you write lyrics?” Youngmin sighs out finally, staring down at his empty notepad. “How do you just—I don’t know,” his fingers fumble clumsily with the pen in his hands and his hands suddenly seem too large and engulfing. “How do you just write?”

    “I don’t know,” Donghyun admits, after a beat of silence. His reply is off somehow; voice muted and words oddly empty. Youngmin lifts his head, but the younger isn’t looking at him. He’s staring straight ahead, eyes glued to the opposite wall with distant look in them. “It just comes to me, I guess. The lyrics—it’s more like I’m thinking than writing, you know? They’re just… how I feel.”

    “So you’re in love?” Youngmin asks stupidly, the words tumbling out of his mouth before they register in his brain.
