Summary
Tommy is in exile. Solely dependent on Dream, Tommy only can think back to the days were he remembered what freedom was truly like. When his defiance gets him in trouble one day, Dream offers him a potion, and Tommy doesn't hesitate to take it. Dream's his friend, right?
Next thing Tommy knows he's eight years old, no father or brothers in sight, and he has no idea who this green guy with the stupid mask is. So, of course, he kicks the guy and takes off running.With a body and mind reversed eight years into the past, a memory troubled Tommy has to depend on Technoblade to help him figure out this new situation, without being kidnapped by the green guy or L'Manburg first. But as time goes on, Tommy begins to wonder about future Tommy, who doesn't seem to have been living a happy life. What happened in the past eight years that left him and the people around him so traumatized?

Summary
Tommy's feet drag in the snow.
It's so, so cold. He's so cold. His toes are freezing. His exposed shins feel like they’ve been cut open-- even the one that’s bandaged. His wings have gone numb, which is almost, almost good, because now he can’t feel the shifting, broken bones inside of the left one, just under feathers and muscle.
He doesn’t know why he’s still walking.

Or, Tommy leaves the exploded ruins of Logstedshire behind, and walks until he finds somewhere safe.
And things keep going from there.
(A canon-divergent AU, splitting off somewhere around when Tommy started hiding out below Techno's house.)

Summary
When Tommy was hungry, he would crouch in the underbrush and wait for a rabbit to come by, shooting it with an arrow before spitting it over a small campfire.
When he was tired, he would rest against a tree or maybe climb into one for the night.
When he was lonely or scared or sad, he had no solution. Walking through the forest alone was better than being tortured by Dream, better than a pool of lava or a tall tower of dirt blocks, he reasoned. And he was only a temporary forest-man. Still, the quiet grated on his ears.
An AU in which Tommy runs away from not only Dream but the entire SMP, finding a new life and peace (and maybe an orphan who needs a home). When he's forced out of hiding seven years later, he's a changed man- Language:

“You do understand that you’re caring for the thing meant to bring destruction and chaos to our world, right?” The woman asks, Phil looking behind him fondly as Techno grabs at the ends of his wings.
“He’s just a child.” Phil answers distractedly, humming as his wings get gently yanked at.
“He’s the first of three to destroy life as we know it! Shouldn’t we, well, get rid of him?!”
“Oh, no.” Phil raises his eyes with a sharp glare. “Believe me, I have my own way of preventing the apocalypse.”

Or, Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy are basically chaotic forces of nature, destined from birth to end the world and bring destruction. Most who hear of the tale of them are trying their best to track them down, and to end the monsters while they’re still young, still just children.
Phil has a different plan.
(In which Phil raises the minecraft equivalents of the anti-christ with love and support, so much so to the point where the world ending is really just a funny thought, and Phil has three kids who casually have powers that are bit more extreme than anything else in the world)
