To say that his world collapses is rather the wrong sentiment.
In many ways, Suho would have preferred that, because if something is razed there’s an endpoint. A disaster that collapses a world does not change that world’s nature - it just kills it. You can look at the inert corpses of what once was everything and see that it is finished.
He’d have thought that this type of event would be like that. Destructive. Dramatic.
Final.
Instead, he gets something altogether more alarming.

Suho wakes up at age twenty-three and finds that nothing is as he remembers.

Baekjin counted the blows: one punch, two punches, three — one after another, like that. He hadn’t died, but Baekjin swore it felt as if he might. Sometimes a single moment, a single glance, could collapse years of memory, sorrow, and longing into a single, unbearable weight.
