Tony Stark has been called many things in his life. Spoiled. Arrogant. Narcissistic. Playboy. To name but a few. Hell, he’s called himself those things and worse more than once.
He’s never been called traumatised. Broken. Lost. And he would like to keep it that way thanking you very much.
Tony is used to being alone, even long before he was alone. When his parents were alive, they were away more than with him anyway. Howard being busy with this, that and the other with Stark Industries (building weapons, destroying lives, the family business) and Marie was busy showing her face at some charity event. Not that either of them wanted to be around him regardless.

Peter Parker has never thought about killing himself before. Even through high school bullies, the nasty words of hateful cops, and through the deadly scene of being your friendly neighborhood Spiderman. He was known to be a kindhearted and upbeat soul, as if nothing could dim his sparkle or tear down his spirit, he was like that through his inner monologue too, not once thinking things would be easier if he just…went away.

Peter Parker never thinks about suicide, he never has. He's never experienced depression, either. He was happy-go-lucky. Tony Stark was never worried about Peter Parker killing himself. Until Peter Parker kills himself and everything goes to shit.

Summary
Part of the pardon deal granted to the Rogue Avengers is that they have to move back into the compound for six months. They aren't any happier about it than Tony seems to be. This is the first time they’ve actually been around Tony this much. Sure they’d gone on missions before they’d fallen out over the Accords, but they’d never lived together. Now all of their assumptions about him are being challenged and they’re getting their first good look at who Iron Man really is. One by one they start to realize that Tony needs to be part of the little family they’ve formed, and make it their mission to bring him into the fold.
OR
As the team rallies around Tony, they start to see positive changes in Tony's relationship with his intern Peter, and in other parts of Tony's life as well. We see Tony and Peter through the eyes of the newly returned Rogues.
