“You didn’t look like you were waiting,” he says instead. Kaelix jolts like he’s just been slapped. Unfortunately, it’s adorable.
“Don’t say that,” he gasps. There’s something ragged within it. He looks like a half-feral animal. Looking at him feels like a shot of something burning and hallucinogenic straight into Zeal’s brain. He might not be able to break the habit. “I'd always wait. You know that, right?”

He shuddered and Zealand looked down. He barely stopped himself from sighting as his unexpected guest was clothed in things not fitting for actual weather.
