“Stop.” Rumi holds up a hand, grinning, flushed. “We’re going to get banned from TV.”

It was all she wanted to ever feel. For the rest of time, she was fine with feeling nothing but this.
zoey divorced child agenda except she’s kind of a crash out and honestly doesn't know what she's doing. this is her life before, during, and after canon as she navigates the nine circles of polyamory.

Summary
How would she have done it? Now Rumi has to wonder. Zoey is sharp with her shin-kal, based on accuracy and force—but Mira is beautiful in the footwork of her warcraft, her dance reflecting in her violence.
It would have been a lovely sight to die to, like the last fall of the cherry blossoms in Namsan Park.
But then Mira—the real Mira—shifts beside her, arms wrapping tighter around Rumi's middle in her sleep—and beneath that steady hold is the churning of Rumi's stomach again when she realises she is imagining how she would have liked to be killed by them that night, instead of Celine.
Maybe, she tries to justify, this is penance too.
(Or, the girls pick up the pieces and make something beautiful of what they thought was broken.)

“It’s—” Rumi physically freezes. It looks like it takes her a moment to compute what Mira had said, then she finishes stiffly, “It’s what?”

Or, Mira, Rumi, and Zoey get caught in the middle of their fans' shipping war—but maybe one ship in particular has more substance than the others.
