Summary
“Kinich, right?”
Kinich glanced up from where he leaned against the wall. A relatively tall man stood there, hands in his pockets. Tanned and well-toned, he was entirely unfamiliar— from some other tribe, then.
“Yep. Do you have business with me?” As he spoke, the man’s bright eyes scraped his form without an ounce of shame.
“Oh! Sort of. I was just wondering what brings you here,” the man responded airily.
“Nothing unusual. I’m here to grab some supplies, that’s all.” Kinich held back a sigh. Small talk was often a necessary hurdle to overcome before potential employers explained their requests. Still, it wasn’t something he considered fun. “Now, was there something you needed?”
“Yeah! I heard you’ll do any kind of work for money. Is that true?”
“It is. As long as the price is fair.”
