Despite the exhaustion, George couldn’t quite rub the stupid grin off of his face. His tie was definitely askew, the collar of his overpriced shirt rumpled, strands of pomaded hair falling back in his face. Usually he’d be fussing over it, complaining to high heavens about the discomfort of a less than perfect image.
But with his eyes resting upon Alex’s slightly inebriated smile, eyes crinkled up in adulterated joy at the sight of George’s matching giddiness, George couldn’t care about any arbitrary ounce of discomfort. The weight of his boyfri - no - husband’s hand in his as he’s dragged into their new house’s master bedroom was enough to make even the most excruciating pain pleasurable.
