Summary
Zelda didn’t think, didn’t hesitate; she just leapt for Link, reaching desperately for his hand as her own began to glow. She’d protected herself and the Brigade from a cataclysmic fall like this once, she could do it again, weakened powers be damned. She needed to save Link. No matter what, she needed to save him. They were getting out of here together, damn it all.
There was a burst of gold in Link’s pocket (the teardrop!) and it spread outwards in waves of glitter. The gold encased his entire body, the Triforce of Courage blazed with all the power of the sun, their fingers brushed and then, in one last blast of light-
“Link!” Zelda screamed again, more desperately than ever as he vanished before her eyes.

Summary
“How could this have happened to me? …I did everything I was supposed to do. I lived the life I was supposed to live. I….I don't understand this failure!” Fresh sobs racked Zelda and she covered her face, turning away from both her appointed knight and the Goddess stature. “Oh, what have I done?”
Link looped his arm through Zelda's, pulling her to her feet. Her breath hiccupped and she leaned on him, then into him, burying her face in his blue tunic.
“Come with me, Princess,” Link said. “It’s not on the royal itinerary, but I'm adding a stop for us. Somewhere no thoughts of duty or calamity will bother us. A place to forget about all this, for a time.”
Zelda stopped crying, surprised. Link was…improvising? As fond as she had become of her knight in recent weeks, she hadn't known him to stray from the plan set out by her father. Dumbfounded, she took his hand and he led her out of the spring.

Okay, now Legend was seriously getting worried. He looked between Twilight and the dragon’s tear in the ground before them, weighing his options for a moment before marching right up to it, kneeling down to reach a hand into the shimmering water. He needed to know exactly what Twilight had seen to make him look like this.
As soon as his hand touched the surface of the tear, a memory that wasn’t his own flashed across his mind, clear as day.

Summary
Link picks up the secret stone under Hyrule Castle, Link falls through time. Zelda is left to wonder where her knight had vanished to while also contending with the Upheaval and a figure that looks oddly like the missing hero who's stirring up trouble. And then there is that strange dragon who flies low over Hyrule now, when in ages past it stayed so high that most thought it was a myth. The dragon known as Tempori.

Link is the sage, Zelda saves Hyrule. I feel like there aren't enough of these so I wrote one myself. This storyline will be sticking to the totk canon pretty closely.
