“Do… what?” she asks, looking a bit concerned. Wei Ying vaguely hears her mutter to Wen Ning to hide the rest of the fruit wine, but his mind is racing too fast, thoughts tumbling over each other in their haste to be known.
“We could create our own intentional community,” he says. “Right here. We could build co-housing, make a garden, bring the community to us!”

And then there was a sort of frenzy of collaborative porn-writing in DMs on Twitter, featuring modern AUs, and that led in a roundabout way to this.
Modern AU: Nie Huaisang is at University, studying business (as is his duty) rather than Fine Arts (his passion).
