Summary
Ha pasado casi una década desde el nacimiento del hijo de Kaneki y Touka, al que todos llaman Kaneki por el gran parecido que ambos tienen. Llevar ese apellido conlleva una serie de cargas que Kaneki hijo a veces desearía no tener. Y a la vez lo hacen ser el centro de atención, lo cual es asfixiante. Lo único en lo que pensaba era en escaparse a la biblioteca que había encontrado en uno de esos largos paseos que solía dar en compañía de Hide. Al igual que su padre, los libros eran su escape. Este relato es sobre uno de esos días en que Kaneki pequeño resuelve llevar a cabo esto, mientras todos los demás lo buscan frenéticamente. A veces escapándose uno se encuentra a sí mismo.

Nene wonders because that's what she does, always thinking and thinking and when she's using her brain she uses her mouth and suddenly she has Hanako's whole attention on her. Her ruby red eyes having spots of blue and yellow lights in them from the bathroom window, Hanako can see his reflection in them and he honest to the heavens burns. "Then I'll marry you."
