Summary
It's Halloween in Hatchetfield. Lex Foster was prepared for just another boring night, taking Hannah out and hitting up every rich house and party in town. What she wasn't prepared for was running into Alice Woodward, and was even more surprised when Hatchetfield's perfect princess agreed to join her for some classic season traditions.
After all, for every treat it's only right to pull some tricks.
When a dumb stunt goes terribly wrong however, the night turns into far more than EITHER of them expected. Willabella Mukwab, the Mudwitch of Witchwoods, has returned to walk the earth for just one night. Summary
Daniela gets the attention of a fellow musician who is creepier than his public persona gives him credit for. He proceeds to follow her to every music event, every award ceremony, every red carpet, clawing for a chance.
Sophia is less than impressed by him.
She tells herself that it’s just her duties as leader and as Dani’s friend that she defends her, that she steps in between, but the truth is something possessive and sharp beats in her chest when she sees how he looks at her, when she sees how Dani shrinks away, politely and uncomfortably. She tells herself it’s nothing when Daniela turns to her for comfort, when her lips pull into a smirk as Dani presses into her, trusting her safety.
She’s lying.

Summary
Sophia looks beautiful in the early morning sun. The light pours across her face like liquid gold, complementing the reds and oranges of the silk she’s wrapped in, bathing her in an ethereal sort of glow. Sunlight and warmth and comfort. Manon wouldn’t- couldn’t stop staring, even if her retinas were to burn off.
“Promise you’ll always be mine.” The words come out slightly watery, but steady. Sophia looks out over the horizon, past Capital City, towards the bay. Steam from ships at the dock rises like grey pillars towards the sky. Around them, the Fire Nation wakes up for a new day. Manon draws in a deep breath, letting the fresh morning air fill her lungs.
“I promise.”
“And I'll always be yours?” The hope in Sophia's voice mirrors that which Manon refuses to allow herself to feel. She sighs.
“That, I cannot promise, my princess.”
or
Sophia, beloved princess of the Fire Nation, agrees to an arranged marriage with the princess of the Northern Water Tribe, for the sake of her country.
Manon wonders where all of this leaves her, as she watches her sun be swept away by the luminance of the moon.

The color drains completely from Robin's cheeks. “Holy,” she breathes, and her eyes find his. “Y-you’re telling the truth? You’re really a genie?”
“A Jinn,” Steve corrects, but his hands are shaking.
She flips through the contract, her brow furrowing the more she reads. She works her way slowly through the restrictions and stops on the third page. Her eyes go back to the top, disbelief growing with each word.
“Fuck,” Robin gasps, and her wide eyes find his. “A child? They chose for you to be a human child?”
He nods, throat in knots.
“So,” she fumbles. “You’ve been serving the Harringtons for eighteen years?”
“Pretty much.”
“Jesus.”

Or, eighteen years ago, the Harringtons walked out of Yellowstone Park with a newborn and the promise of ten wishes all bundled in one. Sixteen years later, Steve picks up a bat, restrictions be damned.

'Robin runs her hand over Jane’s spine, making small shapes and patterns. She cups the back of Jane’s head gently. “I love you so much, Little Jane.”
Jane’s body trembles with her cries. “I love you, too, Robin Hood,” she says, her voice shaking, but never breaking. “Thank you for being my big sister. Thank you for being my birdie.”
Robin tightens her grip on Jane, closing her eyes tightly. “Thank you for being your absolute self. You’re my favorite person,” she says quietly.
