Summary
Loving Buck is the easiest part.
Everything else is hard. Accepting that he’s been living a lie all this time is hard. Accepting that he’s hurt others—that he’s hurt his son—because he couldn’t look at himself in the mirror and see the person truly staring back—
and
Loving Eddie is giving him his heart and knowing it’ll be safe there—knowing it won’t be taken for granted or, worse, shattered like before.
Loving Eddie is the destination he didn’t even know he’d been walking towards all his life.
or
Eddie loves Buck but he doesn't love himself and Buck loves Eddie but he doesn’t want to lose him, too.

Summary
“Buck,” Eddie called from the living room before pacing through the kitchen, still searching. “ Amor , have you seen my keys?”
Buck froze, and so did Eddie—for half a second, at least, probably realizing exactly what he’d just said. Eddie quickly tried to play it off, continuing to pace the room, looking under everything he could find and avoiding Buck’s eyes. It didn’t fool Buck, though. Eddie had this thing he did when he was embarrassed—his cheeks would turn a rosy pink that Buck found super endearing. Right now, they were pinker than Buck had ever seen them.
Or
5 times Eddie called Buck amor and one time Buck tells him he likes it.

Summary
“Buck doesn’t remember how they got there, just that they did.
The evening had started like most others: Buck would go to Eddie’s; he’d cook them dinner while Eddie would sit across the counter, listening to Buck chat with a smile, his head resting in one hand. They’d eat together and then drink some beer while watching tv on the couch. Maybe more then just some if the night kept going and neither of them started feeling tired yet.”
or
Eddie tries to ride Buck, and Buck discovers that the way Eddie says some things have a special effect on him.

Summary
“Why did you talk to him like he threw the first brick at Stonewall?!”
Buck’s cheeks go red as the ridiculousness of his own words hits him. He stammers a few “be-because”s, trying to explain why it had seemed reasonable at the time, before the truth finally dawns on him.
“It’s—it’s because of Josh Russo!” he blurts out, feeling the blush spread down his neck and up to his ears. “He said some crap about pre-Glee and post-Glee or—or whatever, and—and—I never even watched Glee!”
“What?!” Hen yells, before collapsing into laughter again, tears forming in her eyes.
He really hates it here.
Or
Freshly dumped Buck tries to make sense of a relationship he just spent the last 6 months in and Hen tries to help him with it. Meanwhile, someone is looking at him in ways they didn’t before.

Summary
"And sure, being Spider-Man sucked sometimes, but most of the time? Most of the time, being Spider-Man was awesome. It was Buck's way to help, his way to make a difference. And if there was one thing Buck loved, it was helping others. Nothing compared to the rush of catching bad guys or the gratitude from those he saved. A part of him knew it was tied to his need for validation, but hey, what better way to channel childhood trauma than beating up bad guys?"
or
Buck gets bitten by a radioactive spider and chooses to become Spider-man instead of a firefighter, while Eddie loses his sight in Afghanistan and finds a different way to help people that involve his fists. With some bonus Christian iconography.

Summary
Something changed for him in New Mexico. On his knees in the dirt, cradling Buck's head, Buck's dirty hair against his palm and his pulse thudding against Eddie's fingers, which he couldn't pull away even though Buck was awake, smiling dazedly under the blood and the bruises. Something changed then. Cracked open. He could patch it up, probably. He's good at that. He's done it before, plenty of times.
Under his hands, Buck breathes, warm and alive.

Summary
Before Eddie can think of any more excuses, Buck bursts back through the surface of the water with Eddie’s body in his arms.
Eddie looks down at himself, still kneeling on the dock, and then at what is unmistakably also him in the water. Buck sucks in a great gasp of air, but the Eddie in the water doesn’t. His head slumps limp onto Buck’s shoulder, and the puzzle pieces of the last few minutes suddenly fall into place.
Finding himself back on the dock with no memory of how he got there. Buck unable to see or hear him. Eddie’s hand passing right through him.
Oh. He didn’t make it out of the water. He drowned.

Summary
"Alright," Eddie whispers, and since this is half a dream anyway he lets his hand cradle Buck's chin for a moment as they part. Buck smiles at him, easy, the brightest thing in here at 3 AM with the kitchen lights set to dim.
