Just a silly fanfic adding more interactions and backstory to Zane & Nana's arc. I'm starting from high school but in my mind they had been in the same class for even longer. I'm really going to try following canon the best I can but there are also some creative liberties I'm taking as well and there may be some canon divergence later on! I am going to try to get through all the time before and after they got together but lets be real, this is AO3 and I get burnt out so easily, so we'll be lucky if I get past the 3rd chapter lol.
Title is from the song 'Iris' by the Googoo Dolls because it's so Zane~Chan/Zana-coded, argue with the wall if you have an issue.
Please be kind, since this is my first time posting fanfics and if you have any suggestions or tips I'm happy to hear them! Enjoy!

amazing post s6 Garrance fic!!! such a perfectly paced fic!

-improved werewolves, gave them more distinction from humans with both physical features and behaviors
-well written complex family trauma in the Ro’Meave household(Garroth, though being the favorite, still suffered greatly, just in a different way and he and Zane both envy the other but they both still faced abuse and negligence and this fic covers it well)
-Garroth internalized homophobia arc founded by his fuckass father (a personal hc of mine)
-perfect blend of emotions. had me yelling “KISS HIM YOU FOOL” at the phone several times but despite this ended up fully satisfied with how it ended.

Laurance became immortal when he turned into a shadow knight, he lived through MCD and after moving into an empty street, He has to live through mystreet, dealing with familiar faces, complicated situations, and even more complicated relationships.
How much will this change things?
A rewrite of Aphmau’s Mystreet with Laurance as the main character, with new additions i consider improvements.

'His little quiet life was disturbed by the plethora of moving trucks coming into the area. The first one he saw only had one man moving in on the house at the corner. His blue eyes looked on from his porch curiously, the man in the distance barely looked at the movers whilst directing them in a way that felt… familiar even from a distance he couldn't even read the details of his face.
Laurance catches sight of the man with dark hair, they lock eye contact and the former Knight feels resentment boil strong in his blood. His chest grows tight and the man tries to control his breathing... Relax, it's not him. '

After the fiasco on Starlight, the group is finally ready to return home. But while they were away, Laurance started to experience some strange dreams, as well as some of the other characters on the street. Does this have anything to do with what happened? No one knows.

Basically, another immortal shadow knight au/season 7 fic with a lot of garrance flare thrown in! (We know that shadow knights are immortal, so our Mystreet versions of them may be the same people). Jess announced season 7 (yay! finally!) before I could post these first chapters, so that's why I'm kinda late. Anyways, enjoy my lovelies!
Edit 6/20/25: Back from hiatus!! I re-wrote some parts 'cause I had a bunch of time inconsistencies, and I also added a whole other chapter before chapter one, so if you've already read this, you may want to re-read it. Just so everything makes sense.
